Botanical Name: Mandragora officinarum
A magical plant and relative of Belladonna is believed to possess many magical powers. The root and leaves are used to make medicine for treating stomach ulcers, constipation, asthma, hay fever, convulsions, arthritis-like pain (rheumatism), and whooping cough. It is also used to cause sleepiness (sedation), reduce pain and increase sexual desire.
