Menthol Crystals ~
These crystals are a 100% natural product that originate from Mint essential oil extraction. Menthol crystals come from freezing the base concentrate oil from a common mint, Mentha arvensis. From here the crystals are commonly applied to cosmetics, salves and balms, which are created to assist in coughs, congestion, upper respiratory problems, and the Flu. A great inhalant by itself and easily combined into recipes.
How does it crystalize? Once the extraction occurs, the oil is immediately frozen (cold extraction) which forms the menthol crystals. These crystals are solid at room temperature but have a melting point of around 107 degrees. Crystals dissolve readily into alcohol or essential oils.

*Menthol engages the cold sensitive receptors in our skin & provide a cooling sensation!
*This same sensation can also occur from inhaling to clear a stuffy nose. Store in glass jar & simply take a whiff!

*Menthol contains local anesthetic, antipruritic, analgesic, antispasmodic & anti irritant qualities.
