Wormwood ~
Botanical Name: Artemisia absinthium
Used today mainly as a bitter tonic, with anti-inflammatory properties. As the name implies, wormwood is a powerful worming agent that has been used for hundreds of years to expel tapeworms, threadworms and roundworms from dogs, cats and humans. A common ingredient in many herbal "cleansing" formulations. Small doses of wormwood tea taken before meals can also stimulate digestion.
Warning: Not to be used during pregnancy. Not to be used while nursing. Not for long-term use; do not exceed recommended dose.
