Chaga Mushroom ~
Botanical Name: Inonotus obliquus
Chaga is a dark, woody fungal growth that develops primarily on birch trees in cold northern forests. It has a long history of traditional use throughout Russia, Northern Europe, China, and other northern regions, where it has commonly been prepared as a slow-simmered herbal tea or decoction.
Chaga naturally contains polysaccharides, including beta-glucans, along with antioxidant compounds. These naturally occurring constituents have made Chaga a popular addition to traditional wellness preparations and mushroom teas.
